Welcome to the Boars of Texas Hog Hunting Competition, bringing fellow houndsmen together to showcase their dogs' abilities in the field while at the same time getting a chance to meet new people, provide a service to farmers and ranchers and, most importantly, demonstrate to the general public what type of impact houndsmen actually have on feral hog populations.
This contest is open to hog hunters from all over the world as long as they hunt within the state of Texas for the duration of the competition. Texas has one of the largest population densities of wild hogs out there, making it a great place to host a competition of this type. Whether you live in Texas and don’t have a full team, live outside of the state and want to reach people who have places to hunt within the state, or have great places to hunt and no dogs, try out our Looking for a Team section. BoarsofTexas.com is also meant to keep you up to date on other hunting competitions happening throughout the country. If you are aware of hunting competitions that are not currently listed on our competitions page, or you would like to list your own, please send us the details.
