Welcome to the Boars of Texas Hog Hunting Competition, bringing fellow houndsmen together to showcase their dogs' abilities in the field while at the same time getting a chance to meet new people, provide a service to farmers and ranchers and, most importantly, demonstrate to the general public what type of impact houndsmen actually have on feral hog populations.

This contest is open to hog hunters from all over the world as long as they hunt within the state of Texas for the duration of the competition. Texas has one of the largest population densities of wild hogs out there, making it a great place to host a competition of this type. Whether you live in Texas and don’t have a full team, live outside of the state and want to reach people who have places to hunt within the state, or have great places to hunt and no dogs, try out our Looking for a Team section.

BoarsofTexas.com is also meant to keep you up to date on other hunting competitions happening throughout the country. If you are aware of hunting competitions that are not currently listed on our competitions page, or you would like to list your own, please send us the details. For the Boars of Texas Hog Hunt Flyer, Rules, Location Map or Entry Form, please click on the word links provided here, and feel free to contact us with any other questions.

Good Luck and Good Hunting!

We would like to thank all of the Volunteers, Sponsors, and other Organizations that help make this hunt possible. If you would like to show your support for what this event is doing for your area, we invite you to become a sponsor. If you are interested in setting up at the event and bringing your latest merchandise to the hunters then become a vendor, or you can even advertise on this site. I would also like to urge anyone who hunts with dogs, utilizes them in any way, as well as individuals who would simply wish to see those rights protected, to please join groups like the Texas Working Dog Alliance (TWDA) and the Responsible Pet Owners Alliance Texas Outreach (RPOA). They are fighting every day to protect your rights to bring your dogs to the woods.
